The feeling of living in a world that is too evolved is the feeling of many people of our era; This is due to the rapid growth of technology that is increasingly involved in different areas of our lives. This era is being the fastest in history; starting from the fact that evolution has been measured according to the tools and what you can do with them to give a collective or personal benefit. This evolution has been seen since the discovery of fire, the wheel, sharp stones, pulleys, resistant metals, electricity, transmitters, etc. These tools have helped in some way to improve the quality of life of humanity.

The Age of Information in which we find ourselves (also known as Digital Era) is opening paths that we would never have thought, these roads are so immense that the discovery is for all people in the world; These roads full of information help us solve problems, from the most common to the most complex; all this quickly and effectively. In addition, we have had the opportunity to know solutions that are being generated in other parts of the planet.

The information we generate, we are sharing in real time and is not leading to discover new ways to perform daily activities; connecting people, places and cultures to share information and ideas that can improve our lives; and all this quick access to the information that we are living is turning us into Digital Citizens.

But where was this digital or information age born? The beginning of the information age occurs when an improvement of communication and information transmission is developed through the printing of mobile types towards 1450 by Johannes Gutenberg, which allowed mass production of books, which was a great boost to the conservation and transmission of information, ideas and culture.

This impulse was reinforced in the nineteenth century with the appearance of the written press and communication by cable (telegraph and telephone), followed in the 20th century by the appearance of mass media such as radio and television, and finally computer science and the internet, which favor a society based on knowledge (and, at the same time, an economy of knowledge).

The current trend is that everything is automatic and intelligent, where the tools break the barrier and begin to interact with us, facilitating daily activities and allowing technologies to become involved in social issues such as government, business, finance, society, education, environment and commerce, to name a few; this has made efficient the processes and daily interactions that we have in these areas, making us have more time and control of our entire environment as citizens.

A "Digital Citizen" according to Adrián Lira, CEO of Smart Environment presenter in the past Talent Land Guadalajara - is "an intelligent digital citizen who uses technology to generate benefits, to develop personal skills and professional competencies; in addition to improving their living conditions, and their entire environment.
